A fine art photographer is permanently working to
add or remove work from his portfolio(s). If he adds a photo to his
portfolio he wants to share this piece of work with the critical public.
It normally also means that the artist did some (sometimes many) proof
prints to be sure the photo is really ready for a quality fine art
print and can be shown in a gallery or other types of art shows.
This series will discuss some photos that made it
into a portfolio. It is about the making of the photo, the work
in the digital darkroom and what else matters.
We would be very pleased to get the feedback of
our readers. Some comments might even be added to the essays.
This series is also the home for the series "Mini
Portfolio" submitted by our readers.
