Sounds interesting and would not really surprise. After Olympus, Panasonic with their m4/3 system and now Sony's NEX-3/5 cameras got rid of the mirror these ype of cameras gain momentum.

Like with the Canon 5D Mark II there is now also a hack for the GH1 that at least demonstrates how much the original GH1 firmware cripples the quality of the GH1. Note: If you use these hacks you are always at your own risk and even may void your warranty.
