We used the ZF (Nikon mount) version of this lens and liked it a lot. We wait to test the new version on our Canon cameras.

"...Also today, Phase One announced the availability of three new high performance leaf shutter lenses, 55mm, 80mm and 110mm, all f/2.8 and all designed with the Phase One 645DF camera in mind. The lenses are a result of close collaboration with Mamiya Digital Imaging and Schneider Kreuznach......The 645DF camera is the only 645 medium format camera which supports both focal plane and leaf shutters...."

Sorry for the late notice but we were off to a HDR Symposium at Stanford. We personally are not really into using single focal length cameras (X1). The M9 is likely a nice (and very expensive) camera but we are more into DSLRs or the new m4/3 cameras.
9/12//2009 Canon EOS 7D and 100mm IS Macro in for a brief 2 day test
We received today a pre production 7D for a short weekend test. We plan to check both stills and video. Busy weekend :-). We wanted a 100mm IS Macro badly for a long time and hope it is as good as we hoped for.

- MicroPiezo AMC Print Head (the print head also incorporates an ink repellent coating).
This mayne a moderate upgrade from the 3800. But because the 3800 was/is an excellent 17" printer this update is clearly welcome for many photographers.

This is a newly designed 1.6x crop camera with some more clearly highend features:
- 18MP (we have to see how well these many pixels perfom on this sensor)
- 8fps (this is fast at 18MP)
- New AF module with 19 AF points
- 100% view viewfinder
- ISO 100 - 6400
- Full 1080p HD video at 24 and 30fps
- Dual Digic 4
- Built-in flash covers up to 24mm
- Estimated street price $1,700 body only
- Estimated delivery end of 9/2009
