About the Photo

Earth Frame #18

The photo is part of our new abstract Earth Frame series and we call it our "Leaf".

The actual photo was taken at Point Lobos in 2003 with our Canon EOS 1DsD. There was some work in Photoshop involved like local contrast/saturation enhancements, but no other changes were made.

The Web does not reflect what a print will look like, here is a solution!

There is no way that the web presentations shows what the print might look like and having full sized images for download is no option for us (copyright among other issues).

If you have a proper color managed workflow you can experience the quality of this photo on your own printer (best on matte or fine art papers).

We created a high quality PFD file (Adobe RGB color space) of this photo (download it from here). The photo has a watermark to protect our copyright (sorry for that). Now you open the PDF in you Acrobat reader and print. Here are the settings:

Select the correct printer profile for your paper/printer (her the Epson R800) profile and print the file on letter sized paper.

This is an experiment and please use our new group (you need to be registered first) to share your experience with us. We hope to help our readers to get a real glimps how our prints look like and also inspire some to buy our prints. Hope you all enjoy this experiment.

The offered Print

The print is made on Epson Archival Matte paper (13x19") with our Epson 7600 (using the matte black ink and own custom profiles). The print will be signed on the paper (not matted or framed).
