Black and White lives

The company SilverOxide.com provides Photoshop filters which simulate the characteristic of black and white films. I love black and white and did it 20 years ago in the darkroom. The abstraction it provides will be always interesting. My dream was to photograph one of the most colorful cities in the world only in black and white: Venice, Italy. This filter helps you to do both and it is real fun to play with.

I love this photo with the three young Canada Geese (D1, Vasona Park, Los Gatos, CA). The B/W and sepia converted photos have their own fascination. I do not prefer one over the other.

Tri-X Filter

This is not real test but I think these inexpensive filters make a lot of appetite for B/W. Yes, black and white is beautiful.
