USB 3 is faster than Firewire 800 and seems to be the future for external fast media connections. Will take a while though till all our machines will support USB 3 as a standard.

01/04/2010 ddisoftware updated its FlashPipe and Qimage Pro applications

Both programs have been updated to include raw support for the latest cameras such as the Canon S90, Pentax K-x, Sony A500/A550, and other recently release models. These latest updates also include optimizations to allow smoother operation under both the 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows 7. The updates are available under the links for Qimage and FlashPipe.
